BLACK HILLS CORVETTE CLASSIC EVENT 2019
What a fun time we all had on this trip! Our group that decided to take the adventure from Sioux Falls, SD across the state to Spearfish, SD, will never forget what all we saw and did. A big thank you to the Balck Hills Corvette Club for putting this on. We all just had a blast. Not only did we see a lot, but we sure put our cars through the test. I won't get into speeds, but once you have a speed limit of 80 posted and you are driving a corvette, and nothing around you, I'll let you take it from there. :)
We saw The Falls, in Sioux Falls. Just beautiful! Then it was the Black Hills...... Same, beautiful! Spearfish Canyon Road and to Mount Rushmore, and Custer State Park. More of the same, beautiful! All the scenery in between was fantastic. You can see for miles and miles. This was my first time up in this part of the country. I will go back.
We had a Champion in our group. This Champion won the "Men's Fastest Reaction Time." It was pulling away from the start at drag racing! It's none othere than, Chad Isakson! Congratulations, Chad! When I picked up your award, I sure received a loud applaused. ha Chad also did very well in the autocross too. Mike Hicks, Chad Isakson, and Leo Czerniewski, did very well in the "Quick 60." I'll explain this at the club meeting. It's very cool.
As a club, we should pick another one of the top six events that the NCCC publishes in the Blue Bars for 2020. For this event, there were people from all over the country and Canada. It is always fun to meet up with people that we all have something in common with.
One more thing, we all were in this large room having dinner and watching the reveling of the new C-8 Corvette. I never talked to anyone that had an issue with it. All the comments were positive.
I'm new with this program. So give me a little time to get it right. As an example, there are 3 pages of pictures. So when you're done with page 1, you need to come back up to the top and click on the 2, and so forth. That should be at the bottom of the page. You can also double click on the pictures to make them larger.
Thanks goes out to Brenda Heidenreich for sharing some photos with me.
I have many videos, but I need to learn how to get them in the program.
I hope you enjoy the pictures. Thanks to the members that signed up for this trip. I hope we will do something like this again next year.
