AUTOCROSS 2019

Hello Everyone!   Are any of us a little sore from the weekend?  Any sunburns?  I hope not.   But the Route 66 Corvette Club put on another great autocross again this year.  Tom Reitz and his team of members put on another great show for many of autocross racers from various states.  Everything I heard from the people I talked to had the same comment, “you guys always put on a great autocross.”

For the weather, it was Hot!   However, there were no storms we had to worry about, and we did have somewhat of a breeze.  That breeze helped a lot. I will let the people running the show give us a rundown on how all their areas did over the weekend.  I know our cooks sure know how to BBQ!  The food was delicious. I believe we had 61 drivers signed in.  I will let our Treasurer, Rich share the details on how well we did financially at our July 11th meeting.  Let me say this; we did a little better than twice from the net figure we did in 2018.  Outstanding!

Since I still don’t understand how to get pictures on our website, I am using the email approach.  I will also add some to our FB page.  I need to learn how to use a new program.    So, I hope you enjoy the pictures.  I know I didn’t get everyone, so I apologize for missing some people. Mostly people pictures in the front and cars etc near the end.

Thank you, Tom and everyone, that came out and volunteered your time to make this yearly event a success.  It takes a team to pull something like this together.

Thank to Carolyn Schlueter for sharing her photos.
